RESCUE, REHABILITATION, REHOMING & REFUGE

Furrytails Hamster Rescue is a small, family run rescue founded in May, 2017 and has rescued over 50 hamsters and other little animals since then, including Guinea pigs, mice, gerbils and rats.

On arrival, each animal is treated as part of the family.  They will have an assessment period, length depending on the individual but minimum of two weeks (for males, 16 days for females) so we can get a good idea of how they are so we can find them the best homes.  If an animal cannot be rehomed, they will have a loving forever home here at the rescue.  We currently have 10 permanent residents.

Animals that are suitable for adoption can be reserved to suitable forever homes once an application has been completed.

We have a minimum cage size requirement of 80x50cm for all species of hamster.  If you are interested in adopting from us, you must have a cage this size or above to be considered.
